Nathan Schierbeek - Technician Assistant

Nathan is originally from Grand Rapids, MI, where he spent the first 25 years of his life.  After taking a three month road trip across the country, Nathan knew he wanted to call Bend home. For over a year, Nathan worked in Bend as a caregiver for people with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Nathan had always had an interest in animal welfare, and when he got the opportunity to volunteer at the Animal Farm Sanctuary in CA, he took it! Bend called him back home a year and a half later, and the position as technician assistant at Bend Spay+Neuter Project was a perfect fit to allow Nathan to continue to help animals in a meaningful way. When Nathan is not busy helping animals, you can find him hiking and camping with his best buddy Arlo, composing and playing music, reading way too many books, and of course indulging in all of the delicious craft brews Bend has to offer!
